Rexroth piston pump repair - system pressure does not reach DR setting
Item Description Measure
Check DR control setting. The system pressure will not reach the DR setting. Adjust DR to proper setting. See adjustment section.
Check external relief valve. External relief valve setting is lower than DR setting. Adjust the external system relief valve according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The external relief valve setting must be greater than the DR setting to ensure proper pump operation.
Check the DR control spring. A broken, damaged, or missing spring will cause erratic operation. Replace the spring as needed.
Inspect the DR spool for wear. A worn DR spool will cause internal leakage in the control system. Replace the spool as needed.
Check the DR spool for proper installation orientation. Incorrect mounting orientation will result in improper operation. Reinstall.
Check the level of contamination of the DR control. Contamination may interfere with the movement of the DR spool. Clean the DR control assembly and take appropriate measures to avoid contamination.
